Online Banking is a safe way to manage your money but you need to be on your guard against Internet fraudsters. Make sure you follow our latest advice to bank safely online:
Ignore emails asking for your Online Banking details or other personal information: - If you receive an email claiming to be from BBVA that asks to confirm your email address by entering your full Online Banking details be aware that this is a scam and you should delete the email immediately. The link within the email may also contain a virus and we recommend you maintain updated anti-virus software.
- Remember, we never request your full personal/security details, never give these to anyone.
Don't be conned by emails offering easy money: - A current scam involves someone offering to pay funds into your account on the understanding you then transfer them overseas. In return, you supposedly get a commission. Many of these scams involve the proceeds of fraud. Any customer that participates will become involved in a police investigation and we could close any account involved in this scam.
If you think you've been a victim of fraud, contact us immediately. |
